The Return of the Desertfest

(Imagine a scrolling effect!)

A long time ago…….

In the London galaxy known as Camden Town

Desertfest London was due to celebrate it’s triumphant 10th anniversary

Unbeknown to them the evil Darth Covid was lurking

Thwarting the plans of the Desertfest alliance to once again put on the best metal festival in the universe!

Ok, ok enough of my Star Wars geekiness. All that needs to be said is…..

DESERTFEST LONDON IS BACK BABY!!

Just look at that beautiful line-up!

And it’s most definitely back with a huge riff filled bang! Despite the inevitable late cancellations the Desertfest team have once again pulled out all the stops and put on an amazing line-up. With Headliners such as Witchcraft, Orange Goblin and Electric Wizard playing across 3 days from 29th April to 1st May in 6 different venues (The Dev, Black Heart, Underworld, Electric Ballroom, Roundhouse and Powerhaus), this anniversary celebration is gearing up to be one of the best Desertfests yet!

Across the 3 days we’ll be able to witness sets by some of the scenes stalwarts such as Elder, Yob, Earthless, Steak, Integrity and Bongzilla, along with having the opportunity to catch some of the newer kids on the rock block in Green Lung, DVNE, Spirit Adrift, Wolftooth and Huntsmen.

It’s great to see so many UK bands on the bill and I whole heartedly suggest that you check out the sets from Alunah, Gevaudan, The Brothers Keg, Elephant Tree, Old Horn Tooth, Conan, DVNE, Morag Tong, Desert Storm, Slabdragger, Poseidon, Trippy Wicked and Ritual King.

I for one cannot wait to be taking in the sights and smells of Camden, meeting friends old and new in the hub outside the Black Heart and catching as many amazing sets as possible. It’s gonna be a long but rewarding weekend!

My absolute must see bands over the 3 days are as follows:

Friday – Spirit Adrift, Alunah and Lowrider

Saturday – Elder, Green Lung and Earthless

Sunday – DVNE, Conan, Huntsmen & Ritual King

Take care one and all and I’ll see you down the front, in the bar etc.

Until 29th April, may the doom be with you (yes, yes I know 🙂 )
